- TACTICAL TRAINING-
 
Tac Wear is proud to be broadening the scope of what we do. To better serve our customers we have launched our training division.
 
Tac Wear has been in the equipment industry for years and has relied on the input of our staff and their operational experience to help us provide the best kit for our customers.
 
We will now draw upon that extensive background in law enforcement and military training to provide a more complete product here at Tac Wear.
 
Our team has put together a comprehensive practical shooting program for civilian and serving personnel.
 
Our initial training programs will be focused on practical firearms training. This will include Pistol, Shotgun, carbine Rifle and precision rifle programs. Each of these will have progressive aspects to the curriculum.
 
Tac Wear will be holding open enrollment course days as well as we will offer booked group events.
 
The open enrollment courses will be hosted at various ranges with a minimum student attendance requirement. Tac Wear will also work with customers to book a specific day for a team, range group etc. training event.

PISTOL TRANING PROGRAM

Participants will be required to have their restricted PAL for this course. You will need to bring your own handgun, magazines/loaders and calibre specific ( your handgun) ammunition for the day. It is your responsibility to ensure your pistol is operational on the day.

 

You will also need an appropriate operational holster for your pistol. It can be high ride belt, duty style or tactical holster. The holster has to be dominate side, no cross draw or vest mounted systems will be allowed on the range. Damaged or unsafe equipment will not be permitted on the range. You will also require appropriate belt mounted ammunition holder ( mag pouch/speed loader) that can be safely and quickly accessed.

 

Appropriate clothing and PPE (safety glasses, ear protection and cap) will be needed for the range.

 

We reserve the right to remove any persons found to be unsafe at any time while at the range facilities without refund.

 

 

LEVELS

INTRODUCTION TO PISTOL SHOOTING
This course is designed to address the Fundamentals of pistol shooting.  It is ideal for total beginner’s or experienced shooters who have never learned Modern Combat Shooting techniques.

 

Introduction to pistol shooting is a Live Fire Course is set foundation building concept. There is a classroom and live range components to this course.


This course covers:
- Fundamentals of pistol shooting
- Body posture, grip, and marksmanship
- Drawing from a holster
- Reload principles
- Target identification drills
- Pistol maintenance

 

Participants can expect to shoot 200-300 rounds during the 8 hour day.

 

TACTICAL PISTOL LEVEL 2
This Live Fire Course is designed to add new Pistol shooting skills, increase the student’s speed and accuracy, and build confidence while further applying the techniques of Basics of Tactical Shooting in real world conditions.


Tactical Pistol 1 Course Covers:
- Recap on Information Covered in The Basics of Tactical Shooting
- Reloading drills
- Clearing basic Malfunctions
- Principles and use of Cover and Concealment
- Engaging Targets at Varying Distances


Prerequisites:
This course is open to those who have completed the Introduction to pistol shooting Course or who have previous Tactical shooting experience or Tactical shooting instruction from a reputable firearms school. Subject to discretion of the instructors

 

Participants Should Expect to Use Approximately 250-350 Rounds of Handgun Ammunition.
8 Hours

 

TACTICAL PISTOL LEVEL 2
This Live Fire tactical Pistol Training Course is designed to further build on the students comfort with their pistol and increase their capability.

 

This Course Includes:
- Recap on Information Covered in Tactical Pistol 1
- Engagement of targets at various speeds
- Basic movement drills
- Shoot no shoot judgement drills
- emergency reload drills
- Addressing various stoppages


Shooters Should Expect to Use Approximately 200-300 Rounds of Handgun Ammunition.
$330 - 8 Hours

 

TACTICAL PISTOL LEVEL 3
This program is design to challenge the student and bring the foundation of fundamental skills together.


- Moving and Shooting
- Finding and Utilizing Cover and Concealment

- Engaging Targets at Varying Distances and Angles
- Tactical reload drills
- Shoot no shoot judgement drills
- Introduction to stress/distraction shooting environment


Shooters Should Expect to Use Approximately 200-300 Rounds of Handgun Ammunition.
$330 - 8 Hours

 

TACTICAL CARBINE SHOOTING


 

Participants will be required to have their PAL for this course. You will need to bring your own carbine , magazines and calibre specific ( your carbine) ammunition for the day. It is your responsibility to ensure your carbine is operational on the day and properly sighted.

 

You will also need an appropriate sling for your carbine. The sling must be adjustable in order to be properly fitted, to lend to safe retention and hands free usage. Damaged or unsafe equipment will not be permitted on the range.

 

Appropriate clothing and PPE (safety glasses, ear protection and cap) will be needed for the range. “Double Ears” are highly recommended as dynamic drills may cause ear muff protection to become jarred off ears.

 

We reserve the right to remove any persons found to be unsafe at any time while at the range facilities without refund.

BASICS OF TACTICAL CARBINE SHOOTING

(Introduction to Modern Combat Shooting:
Carbine)
This course is designed to address the Fundamentals of Modern Carbine: practical Shooting. It is ideal for total beginner’s or experienced shooters who have never learned Modern practical Shooting techniques.

 

Introduction to Carbine shooting is a Live Fire Course and is set in the foundation building concept. There is a classroom and live range components to this course.


This course covers:
- Firearms safety
- Fundamentals of carbine handling, sling and carbine adjustments
- Body posture (stance), grip, eye relief, trigger finger positioning
- Marksmanship fundamentals
- Shooting from the low and high “ready” position
- Tactical reload principles
- Target identification drills
- Field maintenance


Participants can expect to shoot 200-300 rounds during the 8 hour day. (to be determined)

 

TACTICAL CARBINE LEVEL 1
This Live Fire Course is designed to add new Carbine shooting skills, increase the student’s speed and accuracy, and build confidence while further applying the techniques of Basics of Tactical Shooting in real world conditions.

 

Tactical Carbine 1 Course Covers:
- Recap on Information Covered in The Basics of Tactical Carbine Shooting
- Tactical Reloading drills
- Clearing basic Malfunctions
- Principles and use of positional shooting stances
- Principles and use of cover and concealment.

 

Prerequisites:
This course is open to those who have completed the Introduction to Carbine shooting Course or who have previous Tactical shooting experience or Tactical shooting instruction from a reputable firearms school. Subject to discretion of the instructors.


Participants Should Expect to Use Approximately 250-350 Rounds of Handgun Ammunition. (to be determined) - 8 Hours

 

TACTICAL CARBINE LEVEL 2
This Live Fire Tactical Carbine Training Course is designed to further increase the student’s speed and accuracy in a variety of situations.

 

This Course Includes:
- Recap on Information Covered in Tactical Carbine 1
- Basic ballistics and trajectory overview
- Fieldcraft principles to assist in cover, concealment and distancing approximation
- Engagement of targets at various distances
- Basic movement drills
- Emergency reload drills
- Addressing various stoppages
- Carbine retention drills
